Who and what……
Please take a few moments to review the biographies of our board members, noting our diversity and range of experience. Read our GCAC BUSINESS PLAN 2021-2024 and ask yourself if you think these goals will get us closer to realizing Crisfield’s full potential. Our board members have already contributed and continue to contribute significant time and funding to access the necessary expertise in creating an achievable action plan for community development. Our business plan has established specific, achievable goals with milestones, impact statements, timeframes, and measurements. And while we have these specific goals we know that our business plan must be reviewed periodically and tweaked to address current realities and modified to keep us on track as necessary.
How……
None of our work will be done in a vacuum and requires collaboration with all the stakeholders in our community; the City, County, State, residents, business owners, and the many visitors from whom we will solicit feedback regarding their experience during a visit to our unique community. Collaboration has already begun with our government entities and subject matter experts necessary to launch the goals in the plan. Like a crew team, we must synchronize how we row to get the boat to move quickly and smoothly in one direction. GCAC knows none of us wants to lose our small-town charm or our uniqueness. We have no desire to be an Atlantic City or even an Ocean City.
Our Transformation…
We are aiming for something that celebrates our uniqueness and character. A small town that still has all the necessary elements to let it thrive and shine. Our residents and businesses need to make a good living, our homeowners need to protect their equity, our residents need access to services without leaving town and the City needs to be able to grow its tax revenues to help keep up with infrastructure needs, our young people need jobs and things to do–everyone must win. In addition, we want all visitors to have an exceptional experience when they visit so they will tell everyone about our beautiful town.
Donations will help…
The kind of growth we seek requires focus, dedication, and human resources to keep things moving. The board members are all volunteers. Recent small grant awards have helped us secure a part-time admin who is a college student and Crisfield native and resident. We hope to be able to raise enough funds to have a full-time Executive Director and to help cover our general administrative costs. Until then our Board will continue to work hard to deliver on the business plan goals, and our team is fully committed. We expect over the next three years to hold several fundraising events that will not only raise money for these administrative needs but will be done in a way that also supports the community. If you would like to help us cover some of our administrative costs (none of it goes to any board member) please donate what you can.

The Greater Crisfield Action Coalition, Inc. is embarking on a fundraising campaign. We are seeking corporate or organizational sponsorships as well as donations from individuals. The money will be used to help support the important work GCAC is doing to help revitalize the community. See the schedule below:
Corporate sponsors will receive recognition on GCAC’s website. In addition, based on the sponsorship level, sponsors will receive advance notice of GCAC-sponsored events and programs, including discounts toward event tickets. Corporate sponsors will also receive annual updates regarding progress and achievements each year.
